2023 Inaugural Rosehaven Fiber Retreat in South America Group

Land Arrangements will be priced in Canadian Dollars unless otherwise stated.



What is Included:

  • 11 Day South American Retreat fully hosted by Lesley Snyder from Rosehaven Yarn Shop, Prince Edward County & Michelle Streicher from South Pacific Journeys, Eastern Ontario.
  • 10 Breakfasts, 06 Lunches, 04 Dinners
  • One Suitcase & One Carry-on for all transfers
  • Airfare Allowance of $1,500CAD per person for Economy Class Group Flights - Toronto/Buenos Aires and Montevideo/Toronto (may include a non-direct flight)
  • Departure Taxes included in International Airfare
  • Hotel accommodation as per itinerary based on twin/double occupancy
  • Meet & Greet upon arrival by local representative
  • Group airport transfers (individuals travelling outside the group arrangements must organize own transfers at own expense)

  • Seat Selection/Baggage Fees for International Ticket

  • Early check-in & late check-out of rooms (standard check-in time is 2pm and standard check-out time is 11am)
  • Travel & Medical Insurance - must provide proof of coverage by final payment date.
  • Visa/Passport related fees
  • Excess Baggage Fees
  • Any fees related to possible COVID-19 testing
  • Any unforeseen increase in local/government taxes
  • Any other items not specified as being included in itinerary



Pricing does not include guaranteed early check-in at listed hotels unless otherwise stated in itinerary. Normal hotel check-in can range between 2pm-4pm.


Pricing does not include guaranteed late check-out at listed hotels unless otherwise stated in itinerary. Normal hotel check-out can range between 10am-12pm.


Deposit for Land Arrangements:


$1,800CAD per person deposit for package is due at time of booking.


Final Payment for Land Arrangements: 

Balance is due 104 days prior to departure



Please Note: Additional Bio-Security requirements may be implemented by your destination (s) after the group has booked. Should we learn of any such requirements between now and the group’s departure we will inform you. Any extra costs associated will be passed on to the group and included in the final invoice.


Note about Balcon del Abra accommodation:  Due to the location of Manos del Uruguay and La Serena Ranch (Malabrigo), our only decent choice in accommodation is Balcon del Abra. Although this ranch can accommodate a group this size, it may be necessary to share rooms/facilities. Our group will be the only guests at this property during our stay. By confirming your participation in this group, you agree to these accommodation conditions.


Land Arrangements will be priced in Canadian Dollars unless otherwise stated.


Deposit for Land/Flight Arrangements

$1,800CAD non-refundable deposit is due at time of booking. The stated deposit amount reflects a $300 non-refundable deposit for the land arrangements AND a $1,500 non-refundable pre-payment of your flight arrangements. 


Note regarding flight arrangements: The total cost of this package includes a $1,500CAD per person flight allowance. If the final cost of the flight itinerary is less than $1,500CAD per person, the total cost of the package will be lowered to reflect the lower cost of the flights. However, if the final cost of the flight itinerary is greater than the $1,500CAD per person allowance, the difference will be payable at time of issuing the airline tickets. Once airline tickets are issued, they are 100% non-refundable. No changes to group airline itinerary are permitted.


Final Payment for Land Arrangements:
 

Balance will be due 104 days prior to departure unless otherwise advised by South Pacific Journeys. 


Cancellation Penalties:

  • Cancellation 104 days or more prior to departure: Loss of Deposit
  • Cancellation 0 - 103 days prior to departure: 100% Cancellation Penalty


Minimum Group Size:

South Pacific Journeys requires a minimum of 10 participants for this group to depart. In the event that we do not reach a minimum of 10 confirmed guests, a full refund will be returned to original form of payment.

In the event that the group size is less than 10 guests, South Pacific Journeys will contact all confirmed guests regarding option to proceed with program based on smaller group size. Should confirmed guests wish to travel with smaller group numbers, South Pacific Journeys will notify confirmed guests with updated group pricing. 


Passports:

All passengers are required to travel with a passport valid for six months beyond their return date.


Travel Insurance:

South Pacific Journeys requires that all travellers be adequately covered for Trip Cancellation/Trip Interruption as well as Out of Country Emergency Medical (including COVID-19). We will offer you a quote for travel insurance at time of deposit. Depending on age, a completed medical questionnaire may be required. Proof of coverage will be required at time of final payment. Failure to provide proof of coverage may result in the forfeit of seat in this group departure with no refund due.


Travel Restrictions:

Important Notice: Pricing is based on current foreign currency exchange rates and is subject to change until such time final payment is received. In the event that the foreign currency exchange rates increase by more than 7% between the time a deposit is received and when final payment is due, South Pacific Journeys reserves the right to amend the final cost of the land arrangements. Once final payment has been received, all land pricing is guaranteed. This is in accordance with current TICO Regulations.


Cancellations must be advised in writing. The date of cancellation will be the first weekday date, excluding Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays, that South Pacific Journeys receives the written advice.



Amendments to Land Arrangements: 

Unfortunately, changes are not permitted with this package.  If you would like to arrive early, or extend your stay South Pacific Journeys can provide you with a quote for additional land arrangements.

Visas: Please note it is the traveller's responsibility to ensure they meet all entry requirements for countries they visit outside of Canada.  South Pacific Journeys accepts no responsibility for improper documentation.


Argentina: Canadians traveling on regular passports do not require a visa to enter Argentina for tourism or business if their stay does not exceed three months.  If you are travelling on a non-Canadian passport, contact our office for additional guidance or instruction.


Uruguay: Canadians can stay in Uruguay without a tourist or business visa for 90 days.


South Pacific Journeys' Responsibility:

South Pacific Journeys and Vision Travel Solutions act as agents for their clients in all matters pertaining to travel. They assume no responsibility nor liability in connection with the service of any train, vessel, carriage, aircraft, taxi, motor or other conveyances which may be used, either wholly or in part in the performance of its duty to the passenger; neither will they be responsible for any act, error or omission, or any injury, loss accident, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned by reason of any defect in any vehicle or through the neglect or default of any company or person engaged in conveying the passenger; or for any hotel proprietor, or hotel service, or for any other person engaged in carrying out the purpose for which tickets or coupons are issued. In the event that it becomes necessary or advisable for the comfort or wellbeing of the passengers, or for any reason whatsoever, to alter the itinerary or arrangements, such alterations may be made without penalty to the operators. Additional expenses, if any, shall be borne by the passengers. The airlines concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission, or event, during the time passengers are not on board their planes or conveyance. The passage contract in use by the Airlines concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the Airlines and the purchaser of these tours and/or passenger. The right is reserved to withdraw any or all tours should conditions warrant, also to decline or accept or retain any passengers as members of the tours. South Pacific Journeys and Vision Travel Solutions or agent can assume no responsibility for lost tickets or coupons. South Pacific Journeys and Vision Travel Solutions or agent shall not be liable for any claims, losses, injury, death, damages, costs, expenses, delays or loss of enjoyment of any nature or kind whatsoever, resulting from events beyond our or a supplier’s reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, strikes, lockouts or other labour disputes or disruptions, wars, blockades, insurrections, riots, earthquakes, weather conditions, floods, acts of terrorism, or the threat thereof, force majeure, quarantine, epidemics, or the threat thereof, attacks or bites by animals, pests or insects, the lack of appropriate medical care, sickness, evacuation, criminal activity or travel restraints imposed by government authorities. In addition, guest holds South Pacific Journeys and Vision Travel Solutions or agent harmless from its own negligence and assumes all risk thereof.
